Morphogenic Angels and Pink Moonrock Cries invites participants into a speculative future and a boundless Metaverse. The installation is informed by a development week where Keiken were able to broaden and deepen their research in the areas of mixed reality, haptic technologies, 3D printing and robotics with the help of Tetem’s partners University of Twente, BMS Lab, Saxion and Saxion XR Lab.

The Virtual Reality piece allows participants to transform into a digital avatar and discover different iterations of themselves creating space for vulnerability, strength, playfulness and transformation. The wearable womb activates visceral and emotional reactions through vibrations on the body and the ultrasounds of animals communicating with each other.

Morphogenic Angels and Pink Moonrock Cries explores the representation of consciousness through bubbles, flexible fields of view which affect the shape of our movement and perception of the world around us as well as impacting the bubbles of others. It proposes how future technologies and simulations could allow us to see with greater clarity how our perspectives are formed and influenced through an alchemy of multiple perspectives interacting with one another. It also acknowledges that the self is iterative and that our iterations or derivatives don’t singularly grow or iterate forward, they divide and multiply outward in all directions creating a complex web of perception. Bet(a) Bodies explores the creation of empathy technologies through an observational device that allows the audience to connect to the consciousness of other animals. What Body Would You Like to Occupy Today? explores the future of our platform diverse bodies.
