“Honey I’m Data” is a future forecast performative lecture that reflects on the contemporary as though now is history. It takes the audience on a six chapter satirical and critical analysis on contemporary collective belief systems and how societal introjection governs the way we think and feel.

ACT 1: I love Kim not because I know her but because I love her data. I’m not so sure about Kanye’s data though. Anyway, let’s not judge, we all have data, a past that Facebook owns. ACT 2: As the futurists fly across the world by day and night, they go to church on Sundays down Silicone Valley. ACT 3: The Earth has a flu from the virus called humans and the humans just say “Oh, what a lovely sunny day”. ACT 4: Then we all talk deep as our ego expands as we think we have an answer “WHAT WILL MAKE THE WORLD BETTER IS IF WE HAD MORE EMPATHY”. ACT 5: Then we forget what we thought and just chat crapitalism. ACT 6: By the way, now I am a platform diverse body, I am available in all the different worlds, the material world, the virtual world and the app store. I’m no longer just physical, baby!

The performative lecture explores the ways in which our perceptions of reality function through narratives and game like structures. It focuses on tropes such as the hyper individual, the die hard consumer and the “playing god” technologist to expose societal introjection. It alludes to the game of reality as one which is in a perpetual short-circuiting flux as a result of a materialistic and rigid way of understanding existence as permanent. It proposes understanding the gameplay as a game that can always be changed, and offers an alternative aim to understand the self and our shared existences through a molecular, cosmic and cyclical lens.
